ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: takes place each Wednesday in Knockainey Church from 10.30 to 11.30 and for the winter months in the Sacristy from 6pm to 8pm. All are welcome to come and spend some time during these hours with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Committed Adorers who are willing to commit to spend a specific hour in Adoration are needed; please notify the committee if you are prepared to commit to a specific hour.

KNOCKAINEY LADIES CLUB: next meeting with Margaret O’Leary, Hospital will take place on Monday November 18th at 8pm in Knockainey Community Centre. Flower arranging for Christmas and Christmas Gifts available on the night. Raffle and Refreshments on the night. All are welcome.

KNOCKAINEY HISTORICAL & CONSERVATION SOCIETY: presents award winning soloists singing your favourite songs, old and new, in aid of St. Joseph’s Foundation’s Liskennett Autism Development in St. John’s Church, Knockainey on Friday November 15th at 8pm. Tickets €20 available from David on 087 1375368, Jessica on 063 90284 or Norma on 087 6803087. Raffle will take place on the night.

HEALING THE FAMILY TREE MASS: will be celebrated by Fr. John Walsh in Knockainey Church on Monday November 25th at 7.30pm. Individual blessing and blessing of water and salt will take place during the ceremony. All are welcome

MILFORD HOSPICE WALK OF LIFE: the total collected in the recent Walk of Life and Gathering Concert was €2697.00. This includes the proceeds from the concert, money raised for people who did the walk and donations received, including an anonymous donation of €500. The money was handed over to Martin Kiely, Walk of Life organiser at a presentation ceremony in Bulgaden last Wednesday. we are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped in any way.

STARS, CHOIRS & CAROLS: Help set a world record and join a choir for a day! Stars, Choirs and Carols is set to take place in Croke Park on Thursday December 19th with the primary beneficiary of funds raised being Cliona’s Foundation. The church choirs of Lough Gur and Knockainey have agreed to join forces for the night as “Cliona’s Choir for a day” and are inviting people to join them in supporting this unique event, the brainchild of Richard Mulcahy, the Secret Millionaire. To help us we want YOU to join us on the night in Croke Park and assist in reaching our fundraising target of €1,000. The members of Lough Gur choir are holding a “Thanksgiving Table Quiz” at Reardons, Holycross on Friday night November 29th and are asking for your support on the night.

TG4 TAR ABHAILE PROGRAMME: Tune in to TG4 on Sunday night 17th November at 9pm to see Lough Gur and Knockainey descendants Bryan & Patti Lynch from Ayr, Australia and Marsha Thomas from Chicago return to the parish to research their family history.

CHRISTMAS FAIR: Bilboa National School will hold its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 17th November at 2pm in the Community Centre, Cappamore. This event is now in its 27th year and has always proven to be a very enjoyable day out with a huge variety of competitions and entertainment to suit all ages. There is something for everyone: Wheel of fortune, Santa, coats & handbags stall, bric-a-brac, cakes, toys, books, games, competitions, children’s entertainment and lots, lots more. All proceeds will go towards the development of the school.
