GALBALLY PLAYGROUND FUNDRAISER: Monster Bingo will take place in Fir Grove Hotel Mitchelstown on Sunday 24th November 2013 at 3PM SHARP. Prize Fund is €4000. Double books €16 Single books €12 Jackpot Sheets €3. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

ART CLASSES: Art Classes with Harriet Cunningham in Main Hall, Galbally Community Centre. Children’s Art Classes Starting Sat. 16th November 11-12pm., €5 per child. Adult Art Classes Tuesday nights 7-9pm Starting 19th November. €50 for five Lessons . Enquiries 086-0598312.

GUEST SPEAKER: Don’t miss John Lonergan (former Governor of Mountjoy) speaking on ‘Parenting- the Challenges and Rewards’ in Lisvernane Community Centre on Saturday 16th November at 7pm. John Lonergan is an inspirational speaker as he does not charge a fee- a donation (if desired) in lieu of Lisvernane National School can be made on entry. Organised by Parents Association Lisvernane National School (PALS). ALL ARE WELCOME.

SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY: Galbally Senior Citizen’s Party will be held on December 1st in Ballyglass House Hotel. Church Gate Collection will be held on Saturday Nov. 23rd and Sunday November 24th.

SOCCER: Tsdl Division 1, Rosegreen Rangers 4-5 Galbally United. A big three points for Galbally that sends us up to second place in the table. Despite the weather, the pitch was in decent condition and attacking football was the order of the day. Our goals came from Kieran O Callaghan, Bob Healy, Jimmy Barry Murphy and a Quinn Perry double that included a late winner. CHRISTMAS FAIR: Bilboa National School will hold its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 17th November at 2pm in the Community Centre, Cappamore. This event is now in its 27th year and has always proven to be a very enjoyable day out with a huge variety of competitions and entertainment to suit all ages. There is something for everyone: Wheel of fortune, Santa, coats & handbags stall, bric-a-brac, cakes, toys, books, games, competitions, children’s entertainment and lots, lots more.
