FUNDRAISER: A fundraiser ceili in aid of West Limerick 102fm is scheduled for the Community Centre Knockaderry on Friday evening November 22nd. The event will commence at 9:30pm to the music of Donie Nolan. Teas and coffees served to all and many spot prizes to be won on the night. All support shall be appreciated for the radio station.
CARD GAME: A €2,000 45 card game takes place in the Hall Raheenagh this coming Tuesday night November 19th at 9pm. This is an annual event with spot prizes galore and tea and sandwiches for all in attendance. Admission is €10 and the car park will be monitored for the evening. All are welcome to gamble along.
LIGHTS FOR CHARITY: On Friday November 22nd at 7pm Santa Claus will switch on the Christmas lights at Tony Noonan’s home in Templeglantine. This is an annual fundraiser by Tony, his wife and family and all proceeds each year are donated to local charities. All are welcome along to view this beautiful winter wonderland and all donations are welcome but not a requirement as Tony wishes that all patrons enjoy same and receive a natural high in these hard times. So consider same a great treat for all children and lights will not be switched off until January 12th.
DANCING AND CLUB: The West Limerick set dancing club next outing is on this Sunday November 17th at The Devon Inn Hotel in Templeglantine. The Striolan band will take to the stage at 4pm and all welcome.

CHURCH AFFAIRS: The reader for Ashford mass this Saturday evening is Mary Nolan with Eucharistic Ministers Maura Kenny and Willie Mulcahy and basket collector Mike Manley. At Raheenagh Mass on Sunday morning Helen Dagnall will read with Eucharistic Ministers Margaret Keating and Noreen Collins and basket collector Sean Barry. The Mass servers for Ashford church to commence their week on Sunday are Valerie Shanahan and Jodie Kelly. The Apostolate of Perpetual Adoration continues in Ashford church on Fridays.
HOSPICE SAYS THANKS: The Sisters of the Little Company of Mary together with Milford Hospice Friends Association, wish to thank most sincerely all who contributed so generously towards the annual church gate collection taken up before Masses held at Ashford and Raheenagh on Saturday and Sunday October 26th/27th. The amount collected in Raheenagh was €178.60 and in Ashford €285.95. A special thank you to the collectors who braved the elements to stand and gave so willing of their time. Renewed thanks to all.
CAMOGIE CLUB: Killeedy Camogie Club A.G.M. this Friday at 8pm in the sports complex Raheenagh. Nominations for the position of officers and team managements to be forwarded to club secretary prior to Friday.
FASHION SHOW: Newcastle West show presents the charity Gala Fashion Show on this Friday November 15th at 8pm in the Courtney Lodge Hotel Newcastle West. The Fashion Show features fashions from the top boutiques. All proceeds in aid of St Ita’s Hospice units and Newcastle West. Also on the night a cheese and wine reception takes place and a bonanza raffle. All are welcome.
