CÚRSAÍ EAGLAISE: Daily Mass in the local church this week is at the usual time. The anniversary Mass for the late Mossie Roche, Tullig South took place on Saturday evening last, for Michael Scanlon, Tullig North on Sunday and for Patsy O’Grady, Toureen on Monday evening. The anniversary Mass for John Leahy will take place on Friday at 6.30pm, for John and Peg Enright on Saturday at 6.00pm and for Nessan Leahy on Sunday at 10.30am. Beannacht Dé ar anamacha na marbh.

The youth get-together for the pastoral area in which Templeglantine is included will take place in Abbeyfeale on Friday November 22 from 8.00 - 9.30pm and caters for those aged 16 and upwards.

SALE OF WORK: Preparations are now in full swing for the holding of this year’s Sale of Work, Bazaar and visit of Santa on Friday November 29 at Halla Inse Bhan. It will get underway that evening at 7.30pm with the arrival of Santa when he will be greeted by a group of young musicians. The event will provide an opportunity for those who have not as yet been in the building since it reopened, to view the transformation which has taken place as a result of the major refurbishment work. Good support from parishioners, former parishioners and people from surrounding areas would be very much appreciated as the proceeds from the day will go towards reducing the remaining debt on Halla Inse Bhán

COMHALTAS: The craobh will be represented at the Comhaltas Co Convention at Áth Dara on this Wednesday night, November 13. There was good support from the craobh for the Comhaltas Night at the Dogs at Trá Lí on Saturday night last which was a fundraiser in aid of Fleadh na Mumhan 2013 in Cill Áirne. Congratulations to Helen Larkin on being the holder of the ticket with the winning combination on the night and a prize of €500. The local in-branch competitions to select three going forward to the Co Ceol an Gheimhridh will take place at Halla Inse Bhán on Saturday evening next at 4.00pm

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS: The Noonan family of Tullig North, Templeglantine will be switching on their annual Christmas Lights Display in aid of charity on Friday, November 22. The Christmas party for children, with Santa as special guest, will be held on December 5.

FOOD DEMO: The Devon Inn Hotel will be the venue on Friday, November 22 for a Food Demonstration by Celebrity Chef Kevin Dundon. Proceeds are in aid of Abbeyfeale town park. Ticéidí 10 euro.

PÓSADH: The wedding took place in Templeglantine’s Church of the Holy Trinity on Saturday November 2 between Mairéad Murphy, Ballaugh, Abbeyfeale and Félim Mullane, Clouncagh. Fr Mullane, uncle of the groom officiated at the ceremony’ The wedding reception took place afterward in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel, Tralee. Mairéad is daughter of Gerard and Noreen Murphy, Ballaugh.
