HOSPICE COFFEE NIGHT: A coffee night in aid of Milford Hospice will take place in the Goal Post Bar on Thursday night beginning at 8.30 p.m. The event was started many years ago be the late Peg D. O’Connor of Knockanaire. Since her passing her family, Eileen, Joan, Mary and Danny Boy and their families and friends have continued with the event. I know you will support this worthy cause.

TABLE QUIZ: It is a busy weekend for the Goal Post Bar because on Friday night a table quiz will take place beginning at 9.30 p.m. The quiz is being run to help fund the Parish Social. Your help would be greatly appreciated. This is a fun night and the questions are not too taxing!

CÉILÍ: West Limerick Set Dancing Club will hold a céilí in the Devon Inn Hotel on Sunday, November 17, beginning at 4 p.m. Music by Striolán Céilí Band. All are welcome.

€2,000 45 CARD DRIVE: A €2,000 card drive will be held in Raheenagh on Tuesday, November 19 at 9 p.m. Monster raffle, refreshments served, supervised car park and all for just €10. All are welcome.

CARDS: The winners of last week’s card game with 9 games were Margaret O’Regan & Maureen Mulcahy. Second with 8 games were Eileen Finnegan & Con Cregan. The table prize winners were John O’Shea & Sean Bowen, Bridget Gray & Davy Dillane and Nellie O’Donoghue & Noreen Curtin. Raffle winners were Tom Purcell, Bobby Mullane, Davy Kelly and Eddie Roche.

SYMPATHY: We offer our sincere sympathy to Mrs. Kate Harnett, Upper Tournafulla, on the sudden death of her mother, Mrs. Eileen Toomey of Woodvale, Foynes. Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.

GAA: We had one winner in the Limerick GAA Club Development Draw . Congratulations to Mrs. Eileen Reidy of Killaculleen who won €250. The final draw for 2013 will take place on Friday, December 6 in the Weigh Inn in Ballysheedy.

AGM: The date of the GAA AGM has been changed to Friday, December 20. Mass for deceased members at 7.30 p.m. Let us not forget all those volunteers who went before us. The meeting will take place immediately after mass in Halla Tadhg Gaelach.
