PADRE PIO DEVOTIONS: at 7pm in Knockainey Church on Friday September 6th, with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary and Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Confessions will also be heard followed by First Friday Mass at 7.30pm.

KNOCKAINEY GOLF CLASSIC: The Knockainey AFC annual Golf Classic will take place on Friday 6th September 2013 in Charleville Golf Club. 3 ball scramble costs EUR120 per team, which includes food at prize presentation. SOCCER CAMP 2013: Knockainey AFC would like to thank all the boys and girls who took part in the soccer camp, the club really enjoyed having you all. Thanks to Limerick 37 Manager Stuart Taylor, our coaches, helpers, goal movers, litter pickers and BBQ chef’s. We hope to see you all again next year.

BALLYHOURA DEVELOPMENT: are planning to run a Fetac level 5 Sustainable Development for community groups and social enterprises in October 2013. In this course, participants will explore key concepts such as sustainability and quality of life, carrying capacity and sustainable communities. They will gain awareness of the interconnectivity of development issues and systems (including environmental, societal and economic), and develop abilities in problem solving, critical thinking, systems thinking, analysis, facilitation and communication. Participants draw up a vision of a sustainable community, set sustainability indicators, carry out a life cycle analysis and develop a workshop on an environmental issue of their choice, incorporating education for sustainable development methodologies.
