Milford Hospice Fundraiser: Following a recent meeting in Meanus to organise a fundraising event in the Parish for Milford Hospice, Saturday, 21st September has been pencilled in as our day. A five hour ‘Hurlaton’ will be held in the local GAA field where all past and present hurlers of Camogue Rovers and indeed neighbouring clubs are invited to “Hurl for Milford” at some stage between 12 noon and 5pm, whether your fitness levels will last five minutes or five hours all are asked to take part and donate to Milford Hospice. At 5p.m. a “Parish Walk for Milford” will begin around the walking track when every parishioner will be asked to turn out in support of the great work being done by Milford Hospice. A meeting to make arrangements for the day will be held on this Thursday night September 5 at 8 p.m. in Meanus Community Centre. All interested in helping out are asked to attend. Death: Sympathy is expressed to Michael O Donnell, Meanus on the death of his Sister Nuala Gardiner, Garbally, Bruff. Sympathy is also expressed to Nuala’s husband Eddie, sons Mervin and Ian, daughters Sandra, Ethel and Nuala, brother James, Manister and sister Betty Hickey, Inch St Laurence and her many relatives and friends. Nuala was very well known and highly respected in the area and her untimely death came as a great shock to all.
Keep Fit: has resumed in Meanus Community Centre each Monday night commencing at 8p.m. All welcome to come along and join in the fun as well as shedding those few extra ounces.
The Parent Toddler Group: has also resumed and is held in the Community Centre, Meanus each Tuesday morning from 9.30 a.m. until 11 a.m. All very welcome to attend.

GAA: Camogue Rovers will play Athlacca in Knocklong on this Saturday evening 7 September 7 in the Semi-Final of the Junior B Hurling Championship. The game will commence at 6 p.m.
Bord na nOg: Our u12 hurlers had a fine win against Monaleen to round off a good campaign.
End of season hurling blitz will take place in Rathkeale on Sat 7th, times to be confirmed.
The u16 hurlers have qualified for the shield semi-final and play Kildimo/Pallaskenry on Wed 11th in Bruff, throw-in 6:30pm.
