Limerick Exiles Association Latest News;

Following from our recent Association meeting plans are now well in progress as we prepare in conjunction with

the Parnells Ladies Gaelic football club in London for the upcoming Ladies International Gaelic football tournament

which will take place in London on June 8th and will be played for the “Monica Dee Memorial Cup & Shield”

sponsored by the Limerick Exiles Association.

Gala Fundraising Race Night Benefit:

The Limerick Exiles Association in co-operation with the Parnells ladies football club will hold a Benefit

Race Night at Jono’s Bar, Ealing Common,London W3 on Friday May 24th with the first race getting under way

at 8.30pm. A great evening of Entertainment followed with a Raffle and Auction is assured and sponsorship cards

are currently available and for further information please contact our secretary John G on 07956 855957.

All proceeds from the evenings events will go towards the costs of the international Ladies Football tournament

so your support and generosity will be greatfully appreciated.

Anniversary Mass for Monica Dee R.I.P.

The first anniversary mass for Monica Dee beloved wife of our Association chairman and loyal member of

our association,will take place on Saturday April 20th at St Mary’s Church,Clapham Park Rd,London W4

at 12.30pm .The Dee family invite all members and friends to attend this special service.

Future Association Events:

With the introduction of the International Ladies Football tournament scheduled to take place in June ,

the proposed Sponsored Charity Walk in aid of Trinity Hospice,Clapham has now been rescheduled

to take place at a later date in order to facilitate the event,and the new proposed date for the Walk will

now be held in September.The venue for the walk will be Gunnersbury Park in west London and further

details will be available in the coming weeks.

Following last weeks great invasion of the Munster Rugby faithful to London for the Heineken Cup weekend.

Bravo to the mighty Munster who put in a mighty display in the Stoop to defeat Harlequins in the quarter final

of the Heineken Cup on a very deserving 18-12 scoreline and we wish the Red Army every success in the forthcoming

Heineken Cup Semi Final in Montpellier against Clermont in the near future.

After a very intense campaign in the National Football League,congratulations to the Limerick Senior Footballers who

gained promotion to Div 3 of the league for next season and now qualify for the Div 4 final on Saturday April 27th

in Croke Park where Limerick will meet Offaly in the Div 4 final. We wish the Shannonsiders every success!
