BEREAVEMENT: The death occurred recently of Bernie Ryan, in Milford Hospice Kilbane, Castletroy. Formerly of 26 Griffith Avenue. Interred in Castlemungret cemetery on Friday 12 April, following requiem mass in Monaleen church at 11am. Sympathy is extended to Derry Ryan, Carnane, and all relatives and friends.

FEDAMORE PTAA: The annual pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday May 12. Coach will leave church at 8.30am. Adults €12, Children €5. Fares to be handed in as soon as possible please. There are some seats available if interested. Please contact Rita Gleeson at 061 390164.

CASTLE ROVERS AFC: Our local soccer team played Geraldines last in the Semi-Final of the 2A divisional cup. Very windy conditions prevailed, but Castle played brilliant stuff, with Donal Mc Carthy scoring 5 minutes into the first half. Mike O’Dwyer & Ross Mc Namara added two more goals before half time. Castle played against a very strong wind in the second half and held out to win 3- 0 . They are now into the final at Jackman Park. Well done to all.

LOTTO: Castle Rovers weekly lotto draw was held in the Ranch Bar. Numbers drawn were 9 – 13 – 21 – 23. One player with Match 3, Jimmy Hofler Snr., c/o The Ranch. Next weeks jackpot is €6,100. Your continued support is very much appreciated.

ANNUAL PARISH CLEAN-UP: The annual parish clean up organised by Fedamore Community Council and sponsored by Limerick County Council and An Taisce, will take place on Sunday April 21, at 2pm. The Community Centre will be the meeting point for volunteers, where gloves, pickers and bags will be provided to facilitate the collection of roadside waste. Refreshments will be served later in the Community Centre. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
