ACTIVE RETIREMENT: The weather relented on Friday morning and we were able to go ahead with the long awaited demonstration of the construction of a raised bed at one of our members’ gardens. It was a wonderful spring morning and all in attendance were grateful to be out in the fresh air and enjoying some exercise, as well as each other’s company. Next week’s class will be another outdoor session, weather permitting of course, to assist with some seed sowing, pruning, and a review of this term’s progress. The planned day trip to Dublin on Saturday was cancelled due to the weather, but will be rearranged for later in the year.
