Soccer Lotto: The numbers drawn last weeks soccer lotto were, 4, 8, 21 and 24. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. The winners in the lucky dip draw were Sarah O Donoghue c/o Kostal, Linda O Connor, Brosna, Michelle and Kerian Flannery, Dromtrasna and Mike Sheehy, c/o Kostal. The winner of the promoter’s prize was Ethan O Reilly. This week’s jackpot will be 12,700.

Quiz Night: The Parents Council of Mountcollins National School would appreciate your support for their fund raising quiz night which will be held in Tommy Micks Bar on this Friday night, April 19th at 9.30pm. The entry fee is €5 per person and generous prizes will be on offer to the winners. There will also be a raffle during the evening.

School Open Day: An oped day will be held at Mountcollins National School on this Thursday, April 18th from 1pm to 3pm. All parents are welcome to come along and especially parents whose child may be enrolling for the new term. You may have the opportunity of meeting the teachers and see all the facilities that are now available at the school.

Card Game: The winners of first prize at last weeks card game was the team of David O Connell, Liam Lane and Denis Flannagan. In runners up position were the teams of Joan O Grady, Dan Brosnan and Con Lane. The winners of the table prize was Nora Lyons, Anita Danaher and Ann Cahill. The door prize went to David O Connell with raffle prizes going to Rita Lane, Necia Lane, Nora Lyons, Denis O Sullivan and Seamus Lenihan.

Special Card Game: This Thursday nights card game is a special fund raiser with all proceeds going to Motor Neurone Assocation. Your support on the night would be greatly appreciated but if you are unable to attend you might consider making a donation which can be given to any committee member. This debilitating disease has no known cure to date and we all know of someone who has been affected. Your contribution will help in research to find a cure.

GAA Club: The Junior B Football league got under way on Friday night last with Mountcollins having home advantage against Glin. The visitors collected the points with a 1-8 to 5pts victory but the local side were very wasteful as they squandered numerous scoring opportunities in both halves.

The Mountcollins Line out was, Batt Dillane, Connor O Sullivan, Mike Dillane, Eric O Connor, Johnny O Connell, Bernard McCarthy, Christopher O Connor, DJ Gleeson, Denis Dillane, Eoin Moroney, Paudie Naughton, Jodie Collins, Diarmuid Gleeson, Sean Gleeson, Michael Lenihan. Tournafulla Bord na Nog: Indoor hurling training has now commenced in the Abbeyfeale GAA complex and continues every Sunday at 2pm for all ages from 7 to 13 years of age. Hurleys and helmets will be provided but please bring your own if you have the same.

A special appeal is made to all parents whose children attend Friday evenings training sessions in Tournafulla to devote an hour of their time in helping the children’s progress. With big numbers from under 6 to under 14 in attendance more help is required to train and supervise the attendance. The annual Tournafulla Summer Camp will be held from July 1st to July 5th.

GAA Lotto: The numbers drawn in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA lotto were, 4, 5, 14 and 25. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Jodie Collins, Tournafulla, Billy Philips, Strand, Liam McCoy, c/o Eric O Connor and Jessie McMahon, Tournafulla. The winner of the promoters prize was Gerard Moroney. This weeks draw will be held in Tommy Mick’s Bar, Mountcollins where the jackpot will be €3,100 and your continued support is appreciated.

Spring Clean up: April Has been designates as the Spring clean up month by An Taisce. This yearly initiative enables communities to come together and improve their areas with a thorough clean up. The clean up in Mountcollins will be on this Friday evening at 7pm. Cleaning equiptment will be provided and all are encouraged to help out.
