Paddy Purtill Cup Semi Final:

Cahir Park 5-1 Galbally Utd

For yet another year the coveted Paddy Purtill cup remains out of reach for Galbally United. A bad day at the office for the defence saw us four down at half time with a missed penalty at the other end, summing up our luck on the day. An improvement in the second half saw Keith Hogan score with a clever free kick, but the game finished 5-1 in favour of the impressive home side. The absence of suspended top scorer Kieran O Callaghan and injured skipper Bob Healy proved to be major losses. Best for galbally on the day were Jimmy Barry Murphy and Declen Dineen.

Galbally team : S Leonard, T Davern, D Halligan, C Henebry, E Halligan, J Murphy, D Dineen, P Murphy, F Leonard, Q Perry, S McDonald. Subs K Hogan, J Scully, A Sheahan
