I had a great time at the Ireland AM studios with Jessica from Oxendales, Anne Marie Harris, Maeve Quigley O Halloran, Deirdre OConnell, Marrion Fitzgerald, Ciara Rooney, and Haley ODonoghue
I ALWAYS receive a huge reaction when I use my more experienced models on Ireland AM, and that was what we received last Monday morning when we showcased some beautiful sale fashion from Oxendales. When these slots become available, I like to introduce the hair and makeup from Limerick city and this time we approached Vanilla Browns located in the Absolute Hotel.

In a conversation with the proprietor Marion Fitzgerald, she was telling me about her fantastic new business venture, Vanilla Browns The Collection. It will consist of a fab body scrub which is manufactured from crushed Irish Atlantic sea salt and for the body, a sensual vanilla chocolate body butter and also a fragrance which will complement the whole
ritual.

This is a great project that is being created in Limerick city from Marion and her team from Vanilla Browns and will be available in Vanilla Browns salons in Limerick and Cork and also top salons around Ireland.

I’M really looking forward to meeting an old friend of mine, Amanda Byram, who is one of the main judges for the Best Dressed at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on this Saturday in the Curragh. It really is a fantastic day if you are interested in a bit of style spotting. This year, it is celebrating 150 years and everyone seems to be going all out in the style stakes. Next week I will bring you all the style on my page as the fashionistas put their best foot forward.

I TOOK a trip to Tralee last week and met up with the Rose Committee and the current Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh to discuss details for the forthcoming Rose of Tralee fashion show on August 16 in the Dome in Tralee. The show is attended by an audience of more than 2,000 people.

We will be releasing beautiful pictures of Maria modelling some of the clothes that were showcased at the show over the next few weeks.

On another note, Maria was telling me she was in Limerick recently to sit for her portrait by eight artists with a diverse range of artistic styles. Maria’s Portrait was also drawn by eight schoolchildren from Our Lady Queen of Peace, Janesboro. The day was filmed and is due for release shortly entitled Connected 2 Each Other and a short clip is available on YouTube. Maria told me she was absolutely thrilled to have been involved. If you would like to see this fantastic exhibition it is on in O’Mahony’s Bookshop on O’ Connell Street.

Chat to you next week!
