Celia Holman Lee: ‘Gathering’ a wealth of talent in Limerick

I WAS thrilled to make the trip to Dublin to launch one of this year’s flagship Gathering events, the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards.

I WAS thrilled to make the trip to Dublin to launch one of this year’s flagship Gathering events, the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards.

Limerick are the only city that is privileged to host a major fashion event for the Gathering. We are delighted to be able to make use of the fantastic Franciscan church in the city as our venue for the free coffee morning on October 30 and also for the International Fashion Student Awards on October 31.

Designer to the stars, Don O’Neill, is flying in from New York to join us at the event. If you have not yet been to an event there I assure you it is truly amazing. On October 30, Marco Polo Restaurant will be hosting the Sparkle and Shine fashion event with host Brendan Courtney, and the Fashion Fusion event with Rachel Allen takes place in Thomond Park on November 1 in aid of Bothar.

I am hoping that you all in Limerick will support the event as it is going to be one of the biggest fashion gathering events ever!

WITH over 200,000 visitors attending the National Ploughing event you can imagine how delighted we at the Holman Lee Agency were to yet again treat the crowds to a feast of fashion in our daily shows.

With three shows a day, to an audience of 500 people, we actually had one of the busiest marquees at the
event.

I met plenty of Limerick people who attended the shows and said they thoroughly enjoyed them. I remember many moons ago when we hosted the National Ploughing Championships in Crecora. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could get the event back here again - it was a huge success from what I
remember!

Chat to you all next week!
