Juvenile GAA : U14 Football Final: On Sunday evening last our U14s contested their second county final in 7 days when they took on Kilteely/Dromkeen in the football final in Hospital. This was always going to be an uphill battle as Kilteely were physically much stronger than our squad. The early part of the game was even but as the first half wore on Kilteely took complete control and ran out easy winners. This was disappointing as the boys had played very well through the year in both codes. They also performed heroically in the feile and gave all their supporters a great year. Thanks must go to the parents for all the support and driving throughout the year. The dedication of the management team who started training in January and continued up to last week and of course the players themselves who never gave up trying to the end. This is a young squad and hopefully they will continue to develop their skills and no doubt they will bring silverware home in the not too distant future.
U13 Hurling: Congratulations to our U13 hurlers who have qualified for the county final. Good wins over Rathkeale and Askeaton over the last couple of weeks means they will meet our good friend Kilteely in the final!
U16 Hurling: Our U16s play Claughaun in the County final in Knockea (South Liberties) on Sunday next at 12.30pm. Please come along and support the team and we wish them the very best of luck in the final. Please note that there will be a charge of €5 at the gate. Bruree abu!
