Community Alert: It must be repeated this week. Front and rear lighting to homes should be carried out to where it is not installed presently. This is a fairly cheap nowadays to purchase and install. Where such lighting is already installed make sure that it is in working order. Good external lighting should be adequate to identify callers. Most essential is good quality front and rear door locks. Make sure that all doors are locked at night or when out. Keys should never be left on doors or in a place in the home that is easily accessed. Door chains restrict the entry of unwanted callers.
