Diocesan Needs: on this weekend May 18 19 The diocesan needs church door envelope collection will be taken up in Castlemahon and in Feohanagh. Your support as always would be greatly appreciated.

Mass in Auglish Cemetery: On Sunday next May 19, Mass will be celebrated in Auglish Cemetery at 12:15pm, all who have relatives and friends buried in Auglish are invited and welcome to come along to the mass to pray for and remember their departed. The cemetery collection will also take place and your support for the maintence of the cemetery would be greatly appreciated.

Seven Steps: the next seven steps meeting will take place in the sacristy Feohanagh Monday may 20 at 7:30pm. All interested are welcome to attend.

First Holy Communion: On Saturday morning last May 11th flags waved outside St. Mary’s Church Feohanagh. On both the alter and the inside were adorned with flower arrangements to welcome the large attendance for the 11.00am Mass during which 19 boys and girls from Mahoonagh N.S received their First Holy Communion, From Fr. John Duggan P.P also present was Cannon Seamus Ambrose. the happy group of children were Seamus McMahon, Joshua Lenihan, Fionn O’ Donnell, Evan Quaid, James Stack, Aoife O’ Brien, Mikayla Lyons, Keelin O’Brien, J.J Condon, Patrick Donovan, Ambrose Hartnett, Cathal Lynch, Killian Lyons, Sarah Aherne, Chloe Coffee, Kayla Farnan, Anna Histon, Rebecca Greaney, Catherine Mary Lynch, Present were the Mahoonagh N.S Choir and Musicians with Organist Lisa Murphy. Fr Duggan welcomed everyone to the mass which was a very special occasion for the children who were receiving the sacrament for the first time. He thanked the teachers in the school for preparing the children so well and for organising the school choir, great credit also to all who did the preparation in the church with Flower arrangements. After Mass everyone was invited to Coolyroe Hall for refreshments. A big thank you to the ladies who looked after the catering, which was much appreciated by those who attended. a sincere word of thanks to Fr. John Duggan P.P for organising the arrangements so well and making the day a memorable occasion for the first holy communion children.

Coolyroe Summer Fair May 26: a good number of helpers and volunteers attended a meeting in Coolyroe when preparations were made to run this years May Fair in Coolyroe, Sunday May 26th at 1:00 pm. as outlined by fr john Duggan P.P a letter had been prepared and it was agreed that a copy would be delivered to each household, this week showing them any options where people can contribute items of support towards various stalls such as cakes, toys, bottle stall, plants and shrubs, arts and crafts, antics, DVDs and the wheel of fortune. Helpers were delegated for the delivering of letters and volunteers and helpers were appointed to take charge of the various stalls. On that day there will also be a mini zoo and indoors there will be face painting and Fr. Duggan’s very special big raffle. Many thanks to the committee of Coolyroe for the use of their 1st Class facility and grounds for the holding of this annual summer fair.
