COMFORT KEEPERS HOME CARE: are now recruiting for Home Care Assistants in the West Limerick area. We will be holding a recruitment and information open day at Cloverfield Daycare Centre, Glin on Friday 17 May from 10 am to 4 pm. All are welcome.

GLIN LIBRARY: We are into the month of May - Bealtaine - a month when Ireland celebrates creativity as we age. So in Glin library the Bealtaine Festival will be celebrated on Tuesday night 21 May at 8pm. All are welcome to a hour of poetry, music and song. Peg Prendeville will read from her book “The Purple Pencil” accompanied by local musicians. The Ballyhahill/Loughill Going Strong group are especially welcome on the night along with anybody else who would like a hour of relaxation and get away from all life’s pressures. The event is open to all and FREE.

WEST LIMERICK CONNECTS: West Limerick Connects is a free phone call service operating out of three Day Care Centres in West Limerick (Abbeyfeale, Glin and Newcastle West). Through this project, phone calls are made to older people who may be living alone, at a fixed time every week to check on their well being and inform them of local events and services. If you or anyone you know, would like to receive a weekly phone call, please contact Irene on 069 66298.

RECORDING GRAVES AND HEADSTONES: Glin Historical Society in conjunction with West Limerick Resources will be recording graves and headstones in Glin over the coming weeks.
