St. Senans GAA: Limerick Senior Footballers: Well done to Ian Ryan and Andrew Lane who were part of the Limerick senior footballers who defeated Waterford in Dungarven last Saturday night underlights on a scoreline of Limerick 0-08, Waterford 0-06. Ian Captained the side from corner forward scoring 0-04 points.They take on Carlow this weekend hoping to preserve there 100% record.
Seniors: Our Seniors travelled to Listowel on Friday to play the homeside Listowel Emmets in a Challenge match underlights on a bitterly cold night. We were minus six players due to work, injury and involvement with Limerick. We started with a few young faces and at half time we were level on a score line 2-01 to 0-07, with our two goals coming from Dale Fitzgearld and a point from Raymond O’ Flaherty. We made a change at half-time, and we started brightly tagging on four points in the first 15 miuntes of the second half with no response from Listowel. We made further changes in the second half and Listowel came back into it with a little help of some referring decisions and the game finished on a scoreline of St.Senans 2-7, Listowel Emmets 2-10. A very good workout for the first game of the season and alot of positives. West Limerick GAA Awards: Congratulations to Joe Ryan who received Football Hall of Fame at the West Limerick GAA Awards Banquet which was held last weekend. Joe dually deserves this award for his time and deadication to the Club of St.Senans and Shanagolden National School.
County Development Draw: The 2013 draw will take place tomorrow night Friday 8th March and there is still time to enter this draw. This is one of the most important fundraiserthat the club promotes. As well as promoting the GAA in the county and offering very attractive prizes, it also gives 50% of the money collected to the local club to help run affairs. Once again we appeal to the people in our community for support. The draw runs over ten months and cost 10 euro a month. People have the option also of giving 100 euro at the start or availing of the direct debit system. Estuary RFC: Estuary Rugby Football Club will hold a dog night in the Greyhound Stadium on the Dock Road, Limerick on Saturday April 6th, Tickets are available from club members 10 euro per adult, under 16’s free.
