GREEN SCHOOLS: Hello again, everyone in Killeedy. People of Killeedy take note! We the children of Scoil Naomh Ide, Ashford are continuing to participate in Green Schools Programme. We are making a good job of protecting our environment by recycling and re-using materials as much as we can. We are great at checking our school yard and school building for litter. We use and re-use paper as many times as possible. We bring re-useable containers for school lunches. We are delighted and proud to be able to report that our school has had new doors, windows and insulation installed in the past school year. This is already helping to make our school more comfortable and is reducing our energy bills. We are continuing to collect batteries, ink cartridges and stamps. We have 2000 stamps collected and we will be sending them to the Kiltegan Fathers Co. Wicklow. This is our contribution towards helping people less well off than ourselves. We took part in the National Spring Clean in the month of May. We did a cleanup of the village of Ashford as well as our school grounds. We would like you to help us to protect our environment by reusing and recycling too. If you would like any more information about our work you can contact us at 069-85292.
