Public house robbery: Gardai are investigating a break in at Setrights Lounge i nthe early hours of Sunday morning. A quantity of cigarettes and some cash was stolen and any information would be appreciated.

Public house robbery: Gardai are investigating a break in at Setrights Lounge i nthe early hours of Sunday morning. A quantity of cigarettes and some cash was stolen and any information would be appreciated.

Recent death: The death took place recently of Padraig O’Connor who was well-known in the motors trade and lived fro many years close to Cratloe rail station. He died in Limerick.

Hurlers beatin: Cratloe hopes of senior honours received a setback on Sunday when they went down to Granagh Killnamona in the first group game. They must now beat Doora Sarsfield and Crusheen to have any chance of progressing; but fans will remember that they lost the first round in 2009 before going on to take the title.

Astro turf: Work commenced last week in the laying of an astro turf surface on the newly constructed hurling qall in the GAA complex. The entire project is being undertaken by voluntary labour with large numbers attending each day.
