MILFORD CARE: This year’s annual Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for the lives of those people who have died during 2012 under the care of Milford Care Centre will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Castletroy, on Sunday, 19 May, 2013 at 3.00pm. We invite families who have had a loved one die with us in Milford Care Centre during 2012 to come and join us on Sunday and we look forward to sharing with you this act of remembrance and thanksgiving.

CAPPAGH COMMUNITY CRÈCHE: We are holding a family fun/open day here in Cappagh Community Crèche on Saturday 8 June from 2-5pm. There will be bouncing castles, face painting refreshments and much more on the day. Please come along for a great day out.

IRISH CLASSES: Ar mhaith le do pháiste/pháistí Gaeilge a fhoghlaim trí cluichí, cómhrá agus craic??

Would your child/children like to improve their oral Irish through games, chat and fun with children their own age?? Well now is your chance!! The next series of fun Irish language classes will commence in Kilbeha on Tuesday, April 16thth.

This class will cater for 3rd-6th class pupils and will be facilitated by Denise Lyons and will be run on a Tuesday evening 8-8.45pm or Wednesday evening 7-7.45pm. Cost is €50 for 6 weeks. If interested please contact 0872467022by call or text and state which day you would prefer. Please note: If required, additional classes may be provided to cater for larger numbers.

CAKE SALE: Cappagh Community Council would like to thank everyone who supported them in their cake sale. €565 was raised which will go to the upkeep of the Community Centre. Thank You.

NANTINAN GRAVEYARD: The cleanup of Nantinan Graveyard is continuing each Monday at 6pm. Grass cutting and a general tidy up. Help would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has graves in Nantinan.

SOCIAL CLUB: The Alzheimer Society of Ireland hold a Social Club for people with dementia and their carer, in a supported environment, which takes place each Tuesday morning in the Woodsfield House Hotel, between 11am and 1pm. There is no charge to attend and tea and coffee are provided. Please phone Mary at 061-313456if you would like to attend, or just call to Woodsfield House Hotel on Tuesdays from 11am.

WATER SCHEME: To make collections as easy as possible, please bring your invoiced amount to your nearest representative or to Tony Prendiville. All monies will be receipted. If you did not receive an invoice please contact us. If you wish to receive your invoice by email, please provide your email address to your local representative or to Tony Prendiville or simply send an email to cappaghgws@gmail.com. This process will save on paper, printing and postage. Terms and conditions of the Data Protection Act 2003 will be complied with. ZUMBA: Zumba classes will be held in the Community Hall, Cappagh on Thursday evenings , starting June 6th from 7-8pm. Cost €10 per night. Zumba is a fun dance fitness programme. Limited places, so book early. Contact Teresa 087–2152793 or Colleen 087-9274352.

FUN RUN: Creeves Celtic F.C. are holding a 10k run / walk on this Saturday 25 May. €15 for runners €10 for walkers. Check in starts at 11am and closes at 12.45 for race at 1pm. It will start and finish at the Thatch bar, Newbridge, Askeaton. Later that night enjoy a BBQ and band at the Thatch for summer party (€10 entry fee).
