The winner of the promoter’s prize was Ronan Lacy. This week’s jackpot will be €12,700.

West Limerick Connects: This is a free phone service which operates out of the Abbeyfeale, Newcastle west and Glin Day Care Centre’s. Through this service, phone calls are made to older people who may be living alone at a fixed time every week to check on their well-being and inform them of local events and services. Summer Camp: The annual GAA summer camp will be held in Tournafulla GAA grounds from Monday, July 1st to Friday, July 5th. The camp is open to boys and girls and registration will start shortly.

GAA Lotto: The numbers drawn in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA lotto were, 6, 7, 13 and 14. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Maura O Connell, Charleville, Lilly Enright, Knockanare, Tournafulla, Gretta O Connell, Abbeyfeale and Eileen Wright, Tournafulla. The winner of the promoters prize was Patrick Kelly. This weeks draw will be held at the Kelly’s Bar, Tournafulla where the jackpot will be €1,200 and your continued support is appreciated.

County League: Mountcollins secured their first points in the county league last week with a 5-9 to 1-10 victory over Sean Finns (Rathkeale). The game was played in Tournafulla saw both sides missing several first team players due to work and exam commitments. Church Services: There are special Masses in the churches of the parish this week to pray for an improvement in the weather. On tonight Wednesday there will be Mass in St Patricks Church, Tournafulla at 7pm and on Thursday in the Church of the Assumption, Mountcollins also at 7pm. This Saturday is a special day for the children of the parish as they receive their First Holy Communion. All are invited to come along to St Patricks Church Tournafulla at 11am to help share in the celebrations.

Card Play: The family of the late John Ned Dan) O Connell would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the hugely successful card game held on 15th of April at the local Community Centre. A big thank you to those who attended, gave contributions and gave spotprizes. A total of €1, 465 was raised on the night, which was added to the €885 which was in the Donation Box at the funeral home. That made a total of €2,350 sent to the Irish Motor Nueron Association.
