Happy St Patrick’s Day: We would like to wish a happy St. Patrick’s Day to all our readers both at home and overseas. This is a time when the Irish love to get together to celebrate the feast. At home everybody looks forward to the local parades and needless to say RTE will give a full run down of the parades throughout the country in all their news buttetins that night.

Adult Set Dancing Classes: Set dancing classes continue in the parish hall in Ballyhahill every Monday night at 8.30 p.m. Everybody welcome.

Exercise Classes: Exercise Classes continue in Loughill Resource Centre every Wednesday evening from 7.00 to 8.00 p.m.

Scoil Naomh Mhuire: Parents who wish to enrol their children in Scoil Naomh Mhuire for September 2013 please contact the school on 069/ 82217 or call in to the school for an enrolment form.

Congratulations to Scoil Naomh Mhuire: We would like to congratulate the school team of Scoil Naomh Mhuire Ballyhahill who secured one of the top 2 places to represent the school and Estuary Credit Union at the National Finals in the RDS in April. Well done to Orlaith McSweeney, Aaron and Darragh Murphy and Paul O’Donnell This is the first time that either the school or any team representing Estuary Credit Union got through to the National Final stage. We would like to wish them the best of luck in the final.

Traditional Irish Concert: A traditional Irish Concert will be held this Saturday evening the 16th March at 7.30 p.m. in the Resource Centre, Loughill. Music, song and dance by children of the Parish. Admission €5 and children free. Tea and scones will be served. All welcome.

Knockdown Vintage Club and Estuary Macra : Knockdown Vintage Club and Estuary Macra are holding a Fundraising Raffle, Auction and Vintage Run in aid of A.C.T. (Aid Cancer Treatment). Draw will take place on 23rd March in Knockdown Arms. Signed Kerry, Limerick and Munster Jerseys are among items to be auctioned on the night. A Vintage Car and Tractor Run and Modern Tractor Run, organized by Estuary Macra, will take place on 24th March starting at 1230 p.m. at Knockdown Arms. An auction of silage bales, turf, timber, motor accessories, etc. will take place afterwards. Raffle tickets available in local shops or from members of the clubs. A Series of Talks: A series of talks celebrating the Year of Faith based on the Beatitudes will take place in the Parish over the next few months. The next talk takes place in the Parish Hall in Ballyhahill this Thursday night the 14th March at 8.00 p.m. This talk entitled “Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness and the Struggle for it” will be given by Dr. Patricia Kiernan of Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Refreshments will be served afterwards. All welcome.

Bally Rovers Soccer Club:Bally Rovers have installed a Clothes Bank at the club grounds for charity. The charity is Dochas Nasamu, which is a children’s home in Kenya. Items accepted are Clothes, Sheets, Towels, Blankets, Shoes and Curtains. No soiled items please. Items can be dropped at the field during training or during a match because outside of these times the gate will be locked. Items can also be dropped into the two nearest club member’s houses Oliver Curtin or Declan Looney if the gate is locked. You can also contact any club member who will arrange to have the gate opened at a time to suit you. Please support this worthwhile charity.

Bally Rovers: There was no winner of the €18,500 jackpot at the draw which took place at The Angler’s Rest in Loughill Wednesday night last 6th. March. The numbers drawn were as follows. 15, 20, 27, 32:

Limerick GAA Club Draw for 2013: There are 10 monthly draws in the Limerick GAA Club Draw for 2013. With a top prize of €15,000 each month. Anyone wishing to join the draw can contact Dan Cannon or Pakie Hayes or any member of the club.

By supporting this draw you are helping with fundraising for our own club and the County. Half of the sales of the tickets will be given back to the Club and the other half goes to the County board who use the money primarily for the coaching of the underage teams in the County.

Tickets cost €100 for the year or €10 per draw.
