MANISTER DRAMA GROUP: dished up the perfect antidote to the recession blues with their performance over last weekend of the hilarious comedy “My Wife’s Family” by Hal Stevens and Harry B. Linton. Directed by Nigel Mercier, this play, set in 1920’s America is a comical look at the misunderstandings that can occur when messages get distorted or misdirected, and the mistrust that ensues among family members. It was a credit to the actors that they drew such laughter from their audience, while keeping straight faces themselves. The cast in total was: Pat Kennedy, Michelle Burke, Daniel Casey, Karen Conmy, Sandra O’Loughlin, John Nestor, Maria Power, Catherine Kennedy, Joe Biggine, Margaret O’ Connor, and Alan Carey. Sound and lighting was ably managed by Jack Kennedy.
