GALBALLY COMMUNITY ALERT: The recent upgrade of the security camera system at the Community Centre has been money well spent. A car was broken into in the parking area on Monday night week last and a sum of money was taken from the car.

GALBALLY COMMUNITY ALERT: The recent upgrade of the security camera system at the Community Centre has been money well spent. A car was broken into in the parking area on Monday night week last and a sum of money was taken from the car.

Very good pictures of the suspecs were found on the system and have been downloaded by Garda Walsh and are now being examined in Bruff. The suspecs car number was clearly visible and was a Dublin reg number. Other incidents in the broader country area of the parish also involved a different Dublin reg car. it is very important for everybody to be on the alert at all times as Dublin criminals are on the move in the countryside. Well done to the Community Council for upgrading their security system.

LADIES RUGBY: Ladies XV were unlucky last Sunday losing out 10 to 7 against Blackrock. In conditions that could only be described as wild Blackrock got off the blocks early despite brave defending Rock crossed for two first half tries. Score at half time was 10 to 0 but the Galbally girls rallied and leading the charge was Amy Guerin, Marie-Louise Ryan, Emma Clery and Julianne O’ Brien with some hard running. Galbally pressured the Blackrock line for the majority of second half good control and direction by scrum half Kelly Aherne that set our fast moving back line loose. The girls finally crossed with two mins left on clock but final whistle came too soon a great game and great entertainment. Well done to all involved players coaches.
