Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: Exposition continues each Tuesday in Ballybricken between 3pm and 10pm in the new extension at the sacristy and in Bohermore each Thursday between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
Community Cleanup: The annual Ballybricken community cleanup will take place on Saturday March 23. Anyone interested in helping out should come along to the Parish Hall at 11am, those who have hi-visibility vests/jackets, please bring them with you, bags and gloves will be provided. In past years there has been a very good turnout so it is hoped that as many as possible can come along and lend their help on the day.
Defibrillator: Ballybricke/Bohermore now have a Defibrillator and heated storage unit installed in the clubhouse and a number of club members are fully trained in its use. The club would like to thank Limerick County Council local sports partnership for a very generous grant received towards the cost of unit.
Kids Hurling Training: Indoor hurling training for the 4 - 7 year olds from the Ballybricken area commenced in the Millenium Centre Caherconlish on Saturday last at 5.30pm. Anyone who missed out last Saturday can come along this Saturday at 5.30pm until 6.30pm, player registration will take place and each session costs €2 per child. These hurling sessions will continue as follows: 23 March 5.45pm to 6.45pm and 30 March 5.30pm to 6.30pm
School Enrolment: Bohermore NS is now enrolling for the school year 2013/2014. Enquiries can be made by telephone at (061) 351020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications need to be in by May 1. We are a small rural, two-teacher school, ten minutes from the city on the Bohermore road.
Condolence: Sympathies are extended to Canon McNamara on the death of his uncle in England. Sympathies are also extended to Pat and Michael O’Brien on the death of their mother Kitty. Although not living in the parish, Kitty attended mass in Ballybricken Parish Church for many years.
Knock Pilgrimage: First Annual Pilgrimage to Knock, celebrating the year of faith, will take place on Saturday, April 20 (10.00am - 5pm). The Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown, will be the chief celebrant.
GAA News: Our U14 Hurlers got their year started with a good win on a scoreline of 2-3 to 0-0 in the Feile B competition against Kilpeacon (Crecora/Fedamore). The game was played on Sunday morning in bitterly cold weather and great credit is due to both teams for an entertaining game despite the conditions.
The U21 Hurlers (Naomh Brid) played Cappamore in what was their first outing of the year on Saturaday last March 9 in Caherelly. Cappamore were the stronger side and came away victors on the day.
Adult Training continues on Tuesday and Friday nights.
