DIOCESAN NEEDS: On this weekend March 16 and 17 the Diocesan Needs Church door envelope collection will be taken up in Castlemahon and Feohanagh. Your continued support as always will be appreciated.

WAY OF THE CROSS: For the weeks of Lent there will be Stations in Feohanagh Church on Wednesday nights at 7.05pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm and in Castlemahon Church, Stations will be on Friday nights at 7.05am followed by Mass at 7.30pm.

SYMPATHY: Sincere sympathy to Daniel Clifton, Ahawilk, Feohanagh on the death of his mother Kitty Clifton, Raheenagh. Sympathy also to Richard and Sindy Lenihan and family, Feohanagh Village on the death of Richards’s brother John Lenihan, Killarney and formerly of Ashford. May they both rest in peace.

TABLE QUIZ: Castlemahon Development Association are holding a table quiz on Saturday, March 16 at 9.30am in the Village Bar. All money raised goes to Castlemahon Tidy Towns and Castlemahon Development Association.

WLCR 102 CAR BOOT SALE: The monthly car boot sale and indoor market in aid of our local Radio WLCR 102 will take place on Sunday next, March 17 in the Community Centre, Newcastle West from 8am to 2pm. MUSICAL IN KNOCKADERRY: Feohanagh-Castlemahon Hall Committee invite you all to attend the Drom-Broadford Musical Society who be performing “Nunsense” in the Resource Centre, Knockaderry on Friday, March 22 at 8pm. Proceeds are in aid of the new Castlemahon Hall and with much thanks to Broadford Musical Society.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE: The Newcastle West St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Monday, March 18 at 3.30pm. There will be a prize for best dressed float and a prize for best dressed window. As in previous years this will be another well supported parade with organisations all taking part. Wishing a happy St. Patrick’s Day and a happy weekend to all ages, young and old, agus ta súil again go mbeidh lá deas ag gach éinne ar Lá Le Pádraig.

SCÓR SINSÉAR: The County finals of Senior Scór will take place on Friday, March 22 in Askeaton Hall at 7.45pm. The interesting competition categories are figure dancing, solo singing, ballad group, instrumental music, set dancing, novelty act, question time and recitation. Looking forward to Feohanagh-Castlemahon taking part and supporting Scór Sinséar.

PARISH MISSION MEETING IN COOLYROE: Fr. Seamus Enright of the Redemptorist Fathers addressed a good attendance of parishioners at a meeting in Coolyroe on Friday night last in connection with preparations for the forthcoming Mission, April 20 to 26. To continue with the preparations another meeting will take place in Coolyroe on Wednesday, March 20 at 8pm.
