ADOREES: An inaugural mass will take place on Friday March 15th at 7pm in Ashford church. This special Mass is for Adorees ie all participating in the Apostolate of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration and their families. The Perpetual Eucharisitc Adoration continues each Friday in Ashford church from 10am to 7pm and all The Faithful are welcome to spend an hour of their choice in adoration.
CHURCH AFFAIRS: The mass server for St Ita’s church Ashford to commence his week on St Patrick’s day Colm Mc Mahon Mauricetown.
The reader for Ashford Mass this Saturday evening is Patricia McEnery Noonan with basket collector Maurice McAuliffe and Eucharistic Ministers Bernie Fitzpatrick and Sheila Ahern.
The reader for this coming Sunday mass in Raheenagh is Helen Forde with basket collector Sean Barry and Eucharistic Minister Margaret Harnett and Joan King.
CEILI: The monthly Ceili at Halla Tadhg Gaelach in Tournafulla will take place this Friday March 15th a prelude to the wearing of the green and the gold. Light refreshments for all and music by Johnny Reidy Ceili Band agus bigi ann.
DANCING CLUB: The West Limerick set dancing club music session is this Sunday March 17th at The Devon Inn Hotel in Templeglantine. The ceili band Striolan will take to the stage at 9pm and all are welcome to come along and celebrate the wearing of the green.
LENTEN TALKS: Our Lady’s Pastrol area has arranged two talks during the Lenten Season in the Pastoral Centre Newcastle West. The first talk takes place this Wednesday night March 13th at 8pm and speaker is Sr Bridie from the Respite Centre Dromcollogher. The second talk takes place at the same venue on Tuesday March 19th at 8pm with speaker Fr Brendan Clifford Dominican Church Limerick. On Sunday April 14th Fr Brendan Leahy will be inaugurated as our new bishop.
BINGO: The annual Monster Bingo with €2,000 in prizes is now changed to April 17th due to unforeseen circumstances. The venue is the Hall Raheenagh and the local defibrillator Group welcome all support for this fundraising event. The Killeedy defibrillator number is 087-1480441.
LOTTERY: St Ita’s Field Development Lotto results from Thursday March 7th with numbers drawn 4, 10, 19 and 28 and there was no jackpot winner. DAFFODIL DAY: Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will take place on Friday March 22nd. The society aims to raise €3.4m nationally to fund cancer services and is asking everyone to come out and support this worthy cause. You can get involved by volunteering on Daffodil Day, organising a Daffodil Day event in the community or workplace or simply by buying a daffodil or Daffodil Day Merchandise on the day.
