BRUFF BINGO: There has been a very positive local response to the Bingo Sessions which take place every Thursday evening in the GAA Complex from 8.30 (sharp) until 10.15. This is now becoming one of the social events of the week for many giving neighbours the chance to meet up for a chat as well as the opportunity to win many prizes. If you are hindered from attending because of a lack of transport please contact any GAA Committee member and every effort will be made to get you there.

VACANCIES IN CROOM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION CE SCHEME: Croom Community Development Association CE Scheme has a vacancy at present for an Afterschool’s Assistant/Cleaner in Tots to Teens Community Creche, Banogue with an immediate start. The scheme also has vacancies for an administrator, a community support worker and a caretaker in locations in Croom. To be eligible for these posts applicants must fulfill DSP CE Criteria as follows : Be over 25 and in receipt of a social welfare payment for 12 months, and must be registered with their local employment office as being eligible to participate on CE. BRUFF GAA: The GAA Club wish to thank all who gave scrap metal for the collection last Saturday and also the helpers who collected same or assisted in any way on, what was hardly the most pleasant of January days!

LIMERICK BRANCH OF THE ALZHEIMERS SOCIETY OF IRELAND: The Limerick Branch of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland will hold their Monthly Carer’s Meeting at their Day Care Centre, Kilmurry Court, Garryowen, Limerick on Wednesday 5th February, from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. Tel: 061-313456. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland hold a Social Club for people with dementia and their carer, in a supported environment, which takes place each Tuesday morning in the Woodfield House Hotel, between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. There is no charge to attend and tea and coffee are provided.
