THE University of Limerick based Irish World Academy of Music and Dance are gearing up to host the Limerick Fling in March.

THE University of Limerick based Irish World Academy of Music and Dance are gearing up to host the Limerick Fling in March.

A concert of Irish traditional music, song and dance, the event will take place in the University Concert Hall on Thursday, March 5.

A spokesperson for the event said: “One hundred performers from five continents will come together to celebrate all the creativity, talent and passion that the Irish World Academy has to offer in a unique concert.”

Celebrating the sounds and gestures of our times, the concert will feature noted musicians, singers and dancers including founding director of the Academy Mícheál O Súilleabháin, John Carty, Derek Hickey, Niall Keegan, Conor Crimmins, Sandra Joyce, Anne Burke, Linda Ball Hoban and more.
