Tailteann Nua Festival at UL on August Bank Holiday

Enjoying some fun in the sun at the launch of the Tailteann Nua Festival are sisters Aimee and Chloe Griffin, from Clonmacken. The festival, which will take place in UL over the August Bank Holiday weekend, will feature Irish music, dance, readings and ladies football competitions.

Organised as a key event in the Limerick Gathering calendar, the festival welcomes Irish dancers, musicians, writers, ladies footballers and visitors from worldwide for a weekend of Irish culture and fun.

The programme features set dancing, step dancing, music, writers workshops and readings, genealogy, storytelling and a Ladies Gaelic Football tournament. A Limericks competition open to all with an overall prize of €1,000 is one of the festival highlights.
