A ground-breaking song writing project takes to the stage this Friday as part of City of Culture.

Music Generation’s Limerick Voices Live, billed as a “multi-stage, multi-genre, multi-media sequence of personal performances” takes place in Limerick School of Art and Design this Friday at 8pm.

The project launched in July and saw established songwriters working with young people throughout the city to help them express themselves through song.

A core team of local artists including members of Windings, Protobaby, the Brad Pitt Light Orchestra, My Name is John and God Knows, have driven the project, while Noel Hogan and Delorentos have offered advice.

The result is an original body of work to be both recorded and performed live at a special event this Friday.

Tickets €10 (€5 under 18) are available from www.limetreetheatre.ie.
