LIMERICK guitar prodigy Andreas Varady has come in for strong praise from his mentor and super-producer Quincy Jones.

Sixteen year old Andreas, who lives with his family on Fr Russell Road, has just released new EP Come Together.

The diminutive guitarist, who is from Slovakia but has lived in Limerick for seven years, is managed by Quincy and played at his birthday party in Las Vegas last year.

“My little bro Andreas is absolutely stunnin’,” said Quincy on Facebook.

“This record is beautiful man, I cannot wait for you all to hear it. Andreas is growing up quick,” he adds.

The album was produced by Jones and David Foster, as well as David Paich of Toto.

Varady will support the legendary George Jones - one of his idols - later in the year.
