THE Kasbah Social Club plays host to multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Hickey - aka Rarely Seen Above Ground - this Saturday night.

The free gig is a special treat for fans of the Kilkenny musician, who elegantly combines an audio visual experience with his phenomenal drumming
abilities.

Hickey performs behind a drum kit, back-dropped by a virtual band, made up of himself, playing all of the instruments. It is a sight to behold if you have yet to witness it.

The bells and whistle of his live performance would be irrelevant if Hickey didn’t have some awesome tunes to back it up - and does he.

2008’s double album Organic Sampler was one of the best released that year, as was follow-up Be It Right Or Wrong, an album bursting with David Byrne-type influences, moody vocals and tribal drumming rhythms.

New single I’ll Be There, released in May, is taken from the upcoming RSAG album which will be released this autumn.

RSAG plays the Kasbah Social Club this Saturday, doors 9pm.
