IDAHO guitar slinger John Ritter picked some week to be in Limerick, performing in the Big Top at the Milk Market just two days after compatriot Bruce Springsteen’s sell out in Thomond Park.

But, having two high profile gigs in the city in a matter of days is to be massively welcomed, with bookers and promoters Dolan’s also announcing in recent days that Chic will play in the Big Top in October, with more news on gigs expected in the coming weeks.

Ritter, long popular on these shores, brings his Royal City Band to the venue in support of excellent new album The Beast In Its Tracks, plus a wealth of material from his extensive back catalogue.

Support on the night comes from local favourites Hermitage Green.

The Limerick Leader has a pair of tickets to give away for Thursday’s gig, email us with your name and contact details.

Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band play Live at the Big Top this Thursday, July 18 at 8pm. Tickets €30.
