LIMERICK rockers Protobaby mark the release of a new single with a launch gig in Dolan’s Warehouse this Saturday.

The rocking quartet (pictured above) are set to release double A side Microchip/Nobody Knows on independent label FIFA records, who have worked with top Irish acts Fight Like Apes, The Frank and Walters and Whipping Boy.

Protobaby - who released their excellent debut album The Spark around this time last year, a hook-laden, bombastic offering packed with clashing guitars, drums and good ‘ol guts and glory rock and roll - are just back from gigs in Europe and have a litany of festivals lined up for the summer ahead.

Support at the single launch gig this Saturday comes from Randolf and the Crokers, The Vincents and Dead Red Light - all playing on one bill for a mere €7, can’t say fairer than that!

See Protobaby on Breaking Tunes for more.

See Protobaby in Dolan’s Warehouse this Saturday, March 2 at 8.30pm. Tickets €7.
