Clare’s Wish Foundation are hosting a “Gospel Music by Candlelight” event at the Redemptorist St Alphonsus Church in Limerick on Sunday March 2, starting at 8pm.

Clare’s Wish Foundation are hosting a “Gospel Music by Candlelight” event at the Redemptorist St Alphonsus Church in Limerick on Sunday March 2, starting at 8pm.

Featuring the Unity Gospel Choir, Limerick, the Tipperary Gospel Choir, Eve Vocalists and other guests, the concert promises to provide a superb night’s entertainment while also raising funds for the local charity.

Clare’s Wish are the only Irish charity to grant a wish to both adults and children with life-threatening conditions. Clare’s Wish Foundation is the brainchild of Kevin Clancy from Doon.

It is named after his sister who passed away several years ago aged just 42.

“We are the only charity in Ireland granting a adults a wish. Our motto is: We bring the wish to Life,” explained Kevin.

“To organise an event such as gospel is one of my own wishes come true and the sound of these choirs in such an amazing location, is going to be something very special,” he added.

Tickets are only €5 for this event and available at the Church shop or on entry on the night.

“We would ask the people of Limerick to support our new charity and a special evening in Limerick’s year of Culture 2014,” he added.
