The Limerick Strand hotel will host a production, The Best of Broadway Baby, next month to raise funds for Oxfam.
Barespace Theatre Company first presented the Broadway Baby hit show in 2001. By popular demand Broadway Baby 2 followed and now, this stellar cast have regrouped with the best from both shows to present the Best of Broadway Baby at the Strand Hotel for one night only on October 22 at 8pm.
Broadway Baby encompasses over 50 years of musicals featuring hits from Showboat, Wicked, Follies, Phantom, My Fair Lady, Martin Guerre, A Chorus Line, Follies, Miss Saigon, Company, A Little Night Music, Merrily we Roll Along and much more.
Audiences can enjoy the wonderful songs of Stephen Sondheim from Being Alive to Send in the Clowns, contrasting with Lerner & Lowe’s I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face and Wouldn’t It Be Luverly.
The show features a host of local performers including Judy O’Connor, Dave Griffin, Jean McGlynn, Richie Hayes, Denise Broderick, Cathy and Ian McGlynn.
