A raft of new acts have been added to a burgeoning Electric Picnic line-up, including synth-disco legend Giorgio Moroder, who starred on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories album.

Grammy nominated American DJ Chris Cox will join the influential Italian in an intriguing gig on the rolling lawns of Stradbally, marking also Moroder’s first ever gig on these shores.

With just six days left to pick up reduced price early bird tickets for the Picnic - priced at €189.50 before increasing to €229.50 as of July 28 - the promoters have ramped up interest in the festival by adding a selection of acts to the bill for the three day music and arts festival, taking place from August 30 to September 1, the tenth anniversary staging of Electric Picnic.

Belfast indie poppers Two Door Cinema Club join the line-up, as do the superb Duckworth Lewis Method, Billy Brag, Kodaline, Jagwar Ma, Cyril Hahn, Mo, Young Wonder, Braids, Summer Camp, Indians and Sam Smith.

The line-up already includes headliners Fatboy Slim, Bjork and Arctic Monkeys, while an impressive bill also includes Robert Plant, My Bloody Valentine, The Knife, David Byrne and St Vincent, Eels, Johnny Marr, The Walkmen, Little Green Cars, Miles Kane, Crystal Fighters and many, many more.

Extensive programming for the Trenchtown area and the Casa Bacardi bar - including a Friendly Fires DJ set - have also been unveiled.
