BROODING, cinematic three piece Halves return to Limerick after a long absence for a gig with promoters Seoda Shows in Bourke’s Bar this Thursday.
The Iris trio - criminally underrated on the Irish music scene in our opinion - return with a tour to mark the release of jaw dropping second album Boa Howl, the follow-up to 2010 Choice Prize-nominated debut album ‘It Goes, It Goes (forever & ever)’.
Billed a “bolder, more experimental second offering” by the band itself, the album has been on repeat in these parts for some time, daring experimentation sitting alongside a cinematic, surreal journey, notably featuring the guest vocal talents of Gemma Hayes.
These guys know how to flex their post-rock muscles in the live scene, take it from us. A simply unmissable gig in the intimate surroundings of Bourke’s on Catherine Street.
Support on the night is from Bantum.
Halves w/ guests Bantum play in Bourke’s Bar this Thursday at 8pm. Tickets €7 on the door, €5 in advance.
