CHARMING songstress Kathleen Turner launches much-awaited debut EP at a gig in Dolan’s Warehouse this Saturday.

The Tyrone-born singer, who has been in Limerick since 2006, is education outreach officer with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, and the key manager of their Sing Out With Strings programme.

A superb performer in her own right, Kathleen - sister of Juliet Turner - takes inspiration from her homeland and her sister in her songs, boasting strong hooks and memorable melodies in Panic, On the Floor and title track Some Stories.

Backed by a powerful 10-voice ensemble, EVE, Turner will be joined by a host of trad and jazz musicians at the gig this Saturday, as well as the ICO’s own Diane Daly.

Patrick O’Brien is on support duties for Saturday’s gig, with doors open at 8.30pm and tickets €10.
