CANADIAN singer-songwriter Amelia Curran comes to the Loft at the Locke this Saturday, for a night of ‘heartfelt folk’.
A Juno award winner for her record Hunter, Hunter, Curran, from Newfoundland, received Canadian Music Industry honours as Female Solo Recording of the Year and Songwriter of the year for the 2009 album.
Citing influences as broad as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Neil Young, the singer songwriter’s sixth and most current album, Spectators, has also received glowing praise and and comes to Ireland for a short tour this October, including a pit-stop in Limerick this Saturday.
