THINGS are about to get serious for Limerick band Leading Armies, who launch their eagerly awaited new six-track LP this Friday night in Dolan’s Warehouse.

The band, who filled the venue back in June, are planning to fill the stage in the Warehouse this Friday and will be joined by the Markevin Orchestra - which consists of a string quartet, three brass players, two backing singers and two percussionists.

Indeed the six piece combined with the orchestra to record the superb All In Between live in St John’s Church earlier this year - as the picture shows above.

Leading Armies have made real progess in the last 12 months, recording in Toronto, Dublin and in Limerick with Owen Lewis, and release the six-track LP Let’s Get Serious ahead of a mooted album release next year. Those who buy tickets for the gig will be given a download code as part of the price.

Leading Armies play Dolan’s Warehouse this Friday, doors 8.30pm and tickets are €10/7
