AUSTIN based singer songwriting duo Brennen Leigh and Noel McKay will play a show in the Locke Bar this Sunday night.
The Texas based musicians are touring in support of new album Before the World was Made, billed as “modern day duets à la George Jones and Melba Montgomery” according to producer Gurf Morlix.
Morlix himself will visit the Locke later in the year, and has branded McKay and Leigh’s songs as boasting “sophisticated songwriting”.
“We set out to make an album of songs that we were singing together, even if it wasn’t specifically duet songs,” says McKay.
The pair play the intimate and free show this Sunday night in the Locke Bar at 8pm.
