LIMERICK’S local authority has warned that traffic delays are expected during planned major roadworks in the city this week.

Limerick City and County Council has advised motorists and road users that major roadworks will operate at Roxboro Road R511, between Careys Road and Sexton Street, on Wednesday and Thursday between 9.30am and 4pm.

“These works are to enable reinstatement works associated with sewer connections at the Limerick Prison Project,” said the council.

“Traffic delays are expected during these roadworks operating periods. Emergency service vehicle access will be available at all times.”
