A woman had a lucky escape following a road crash near Cappamore this afternoon

A PREGNANT woman had a lucky escape following a road crash in County Limerick this afternoon.

The woman was driving between Cappamore and Limerick city when she lost control of her car and collided with a wall.

The blue Mini Cooper car overturned as a result of the impact and the road was closed for a number of hours as emergency services attended the scene.

A number of units of the fire service attended as did ambulance personnel along with gardai from Murroe.

The woman was not seriously injured and the road has since reopened.

It wasn't a major accident, just a car upside-down. Bad day for the ownerdriver but not a big issue.

I don't have the stats on male vs female at fault accidents but that comment seems unfair. Was she cut off by someone? Swerved to avoid something? I don't know but your comment seems quite unfair and judgmental unless, of course, you have all the facts and stats to back up your claim?

And thats the 3rd woman who caused a major accident in the last few weeks...Cheaper insurance cause their safer road users? Yup . . .
