Two arrests in massive drugs haul in Limerick
Gardai have arrested two men and seized a quantity of drugs following an operation in Limerick yesterday.
Shortly after 8pm on Saturday gardai stopped and searched a car on Ballysimon Road, and discovered 3.5kg of cocaine and 3kg of amphetamine.
The total street value of the seizure, subject to analysis, could be close to €300,000.
The two occupants, both men in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and are still currently detained at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996, under which they can be held for up to seven days.
