Man charged with fatal stabbing

A TWENTY one year old Moroccan has been charged with the murder of a teenager at an asylum seekers hostel in Limerick at the weekend.

Farah Redouane, with an address at the Sarsfield Inn Hostel, was charged with the murder of 17-year-old Somali Ali Ibraham Lal at the hostel on Saturday afternoon.

The court was told the accused was an asyslum seeker and he was granted free legal aid.

Judge Aneas McCarthy instructed that Mr Redouane be remanded in custody to appear before Limerick District Court again on January 30.
