THE Army Bomb Disposal unit in Cork have reported that an explosive device found near Thomond Park was a hoax.
Gardai were alerted to a fire at Hassett's pub, near Thomond Park, yesterday.
Emergency services attended the fire at the pub at approximately 4:10am on Friday morning.
According to gardai, the fire was small, with only minimal damage caused. No-one was on the premises at the time.
Garda made the discovery of what appeared to be an explosive device at the scene. Traffic diversions were put in place, causing major disruptions to motorists.
